Download Manager

Post by seacow3 »

The module looks to be exactly what I need...however, I can't get it to work. I get the generic 500 Internal Server Error after it says "Your download should begin shortly..."

I am not sure I have the download folder in the right area...but I now have multiple folders, all 777. It finds the files when using "scan for files"...just doesn't seem to let you download any of them. Files are set to 644. Anyone have any ideas?

I've seen those 500 errors on some servers. Sometimes because the directory permissions where the .php files existed where to HIGH. So I needed to change them from 777 to 755.

Those errors where not related to Download Manager but other modules.

I resolved this by doing as velden said and changed my permissions on the modules folder, as well as the downloads folder from 777 to 755. Thanks! :)

Have you been doing that all by hand?

(considering it was a half year ago I suggested this :D)
