We started our site with cmsmadesimple about 3? years ago, but the person who did it moved away right after went online. No one knew we had to do anything more.

This last month our RSS feeds from Blogger stopped working. we get a fatal error. I am now suspecting that we need to upgrade our system for it to continue, but it looks like foreign language to me. Any advice?

version 1.4.1 was released in August of 2008, and was made to run under php 4.x.

It looks like the software used by the server your website is running on has been upgraded, and your CMSMS version is no longer compatible.

Upgrading is going to be a problem for you, as it appears a few of the modules you are using are no longer available (removed from the forge for not being maintained).

I suggest you contact an experienced CMSMS developer to upgrade the website for you, as to do a direct upgrade will probably require some modifying of some of these modules so that they continue to function.

Thanks for your note. I suspected we might find that we are far behind, based on some reading of info on the web page for cmsmadesimple. How do I get in touch with an experienced developer?
