I am running a website on 1.11.4 and tried another editor since MicroTIny is very basic now. Other editors don't work so is there a possibility to add more functions to MicroTIny? For instance you cannot change the color of text anymore and you cannot insert tables.

You better use the TinyMCE editor. In the Profiles tab your can set other options.
