ISP's virus checker blocking access to this forum??

Hi Guys,

I know this has been discussed here...

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =2&t=63053

But that is quite an old thread now so I decided to start another one.

I am getting a problem when using this forum. Every time I try to read a thread my ISP's online virus checker blocks it with a message that it has a virus.
The only way I can get on is either to switch off the virus checking (not a brilliant idea but it's what I am doing right now) or use my mobile device.
I'm assuming I'm not the only one having this issue?
If I am what can I do about it?
If I am not then it doesn't put CMSMS in a very good light to the casual visitor looking for a CMS. I know if I had tried the forum first and got the same mesage I wouldn't have installed CMSMS in the first place. Which would have been a real shame because I am falling in love with it as it's the first one of several I have tried that I can get to do what I want without too much fuss.
Can anyone shed any light?

Regards
Clive

Get a hold of your ISP and tell them they are running off of an old google warning, if this forum was hacked or getting warnings like that from anywhere there would be a lot of post here and on IRC about it and it seems you're the only one so far...

OK will do. Could be interesting to see how responsive they are.
Thanks.

Just a thought. Is there anything specific I can tell them they need to do? I just get the feeling I stand More chance if I can post on their support forum and sound like I know what I'm talking about ;)

Wow, am I getting the runaround from my ISP on this.
See my thread on their support forum http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/s ... p?t=100457
They can't seem to replicate the problem but I'm not convinced they are looking in the right places and they keep batting it back to me to check my firewall and virus checker. Not sure how anything my end can cause this issue anyway.
Anyone any ideas how I can convince them?

Also is anyoine else on TalkTalk and connecting to this forum successfully?

I was once unfortunate enough to be a customer of TalkTalk (due to them taking over an ISP) and I couldn't leave quick enough.

They have replied since with:
We have received an update back from our Network Team to advise that as this is something that is being blocked on our network when the virus warnings are enabled then this is because there is suspicious activity detected on that particular site.

Unfortunately if this works when this is deactivated then you would need to make a choice of either having it turned on or not having access to these pages.
which sounds to me like "well that's what it does - take it or leave it".

Like Dr CSS says, there will be plenty of posts when Google decides there is malicious activity on here.

Try another antivirus solution? Like Avast + Malwarebytes? But I take your point about it looking bad for CMSMS. :-\

Hmmm. That lates post you quote came in after I put my last one on here.
I'm afraid I have had it with them and will be looking elsewhere. It certainly seems you get what you pay for >:(
