Company Directory events seem not to work

Hi,
According to solved feature request http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/feature_request/view/5850, it should be possible to start events when adding or editing a company in module Company Directory.
However with CMSMS 1.11.6 and CompanyDirectory 1.17.7 I can't get it to work. I've used both events OnAddCompany and OnEditCompany in combination with own written UDT.
The UDT is not the problem it is standalone (not yet taking any parameters) and works when connected to for example add news category.
Does anyone have a solution on how to get the events to work?
