Bump...anyone have an answer.
It would help with CMSMS adoption and honestly, it's better than WP and just needs more users.
thx

Probably just me being dim, but I went to the website to find out what it was all about. And I'm none the wiser.
As the cloud market continues to grow, you can become an instrumental part of the supply chain for this revolution by delivering your SaaS offering using the Applications Packaging Standard (APS), making your offerings ready for huge new markets via thousands of Hosters and Service Providers ready to accept APS packaged solutions for distribution.
Eh?

it's a "Packaging Standard" or (IMnsHO) a "wannabe standard". Kinda like .rpm or .deb etc. With an added 'app market'.
When a few (like more than one or two) industry leading hosts send us messages that we need to support one or two standards, we'll consider it. Until such time, all I can say (my personal opinion) is: meh. Lets see what happens in a couple of years.
I am by no means one of these guys that listens to buzzwords or buzztrends (they change every month or two).

Plesk and cpanel both offer this and customers use it. Since Plesk and Cpanel pretty much own the control panel market then I would suggest that it IS a standard already and as a hosting company, one would assume we ask because customers might actually use it and want the convenience of a quick and easy install.
I would also suggest that if you're waiting for an invite from godaddy or media temple, then you're going to be waiting a long time because it seems worthwhile enough for Wordpress, Joomla and just about every other CMS but not CMSMS.
