Sorry about my last post on this. Got convoluted with multiple issues I'm having. I probably also wasn't doing a great job of describing the problems. So I thought instead I'd show what's [not] happening.

Here (http://screencast.com/t/ReiAldR3) is a screencast of the behaviour.

Thx.

My setup is:
Ncleanblue template throughout
CGCalendar 1.10.2
CGExtensions 1.31.4
CMSMailer 5.2.1
CMSPrinting 1.0.3
Captcha 0.4.5

So I found (fell into) a fix. Mentioning this as it might help someone else. Yesterday I enabled Pretty Urls and now when I logout I'm directed to the expected login page.

I have a fresh install of CMSMS with FEU and Selfreg and without pretty urls configured. No issues here.

Yeah I don't know what to say. My installation was fresh as of last Friday and the first mods I loaded were those necessary to run FEU and SelfReg. Then the others as shown above. The thing I was trying to do was follow the instructions from your "Hiding Private Content..." document. When you mentioned to me that most of that was built in now I unwound it and in the de-activated CustomContent. When I found this problem I reactivated it but it didn't change anything. But as can be seen from my screencast the problem I was having was real (and granted likely something I did.) But I haven't touched the core code or even done anything of my own design in the templates (at least intentionally.) But whatever the reason when I went to Pretty Urls it now works. (Maybe if I go back to ugly urls it will still work.) Just was passing on my experience.
