I have installed v0.13 and installation completed and successful. At step 5, to click this is your site:
http://www.wellnessjournal.net/cms - 404 page cannot be found. I try to include the index.php:
http://www.wellnessjournal.net/cms/index.php, same 404 page error.

I try to logon to http://www.wellnessjournal.net/admin/index.php and being directed to login.php and enter the username & password which I have inputed in the installation for Admin, IE response: username or password incorrect. I try a few time to go thru' the installation process using the same info to setup each time is successful. But to view the site: 404 error and admin logon: username or password is incorrect?

What is the possible problem. Anybody can hep?

Today I have reinstalled the cms again and I have done every steps as per previous installation except this time I also checked the create table and all tables are created and that fixed the problem.

Have you set all the chmod to the correct settings and do you have a config.php...
Basically did you follow the steps in the handbook/wiki?

Hello

I have the same problems I am stuck in step 5 too I guess it has too do with the config.php which I have not created.

Question on config.php. As I understand I am supposed to create config.php with an editor.

when I create it is just empty - is that ok? Were should I place the file when it is uploaded?

Yes you need a blank config.php.

Just make sure it doesn't end up with .txt on the end of it, I make them by right clicking the desktop and make new text document and before it closes, has blue hilited name, I rename it to config.php it will ask if you are sure just say yes, then upload it to your site, in the root.

Hmmm..

I have chmoded and uploaded as ok as i think it can get.. i got none errors during the steps.. i have set my site in a subfolder at my site as i am using php-fusion (but want to try cms made simple because u care about writing xhtml/css)..

But when i now try to go to my site i really get only a 404 error also.. i have used all possible links and deleted install files + rechmoded config.php wich i am shure has only php ending to it..

I used the prefix cms_ and unchecked the create tables..this is the right thing to do even though it's installed on a subfolder? (dont want to risk messing up my curent running site..

thanx for giving a tip on where i'm doing things wrong :)

looks great this cms

1.create database cms; (use whatever name you want here but make sure to remember it, you'll need to enter it on this page)
2.grant all privileges on cms.* to cms_user@localhost identified by 'cms_pass';

The above steps i didnt do though but they should not be necesarry or?

This step is the one i folow:
(from step 6) Note: Some hosts only allow you to use one database. Then you will have to use that database (and the username and password that you use to login into your database). If that is the case, you can skip step 6. Only make sure to use a prefix for the tables (step 10 below) that separates the CMSMS tables from other tables that you also may be using in the same database.

p.s:  my config file is now on 5.51 kb --  so something did get donne right in that file or?

I filled them out.

I am hosted at a webhotel so they sent the information to me in an email. And also when you complete a successful setup an email will be sent to you with admin login/password and link to were you can login.

I tried to logg in to my acount also but didnt at first as the install showed no page there are probs that wont logg me inn as well i thought, and in that area i was correct.. i can't logg in to my admin..i get a message of wrong username or password..and i used the one specifyed in my mail.. Theese errors are mine and not the system and it got to be related to the creating of tables,, but u see i cant logg in to my phpadmin cause something is wrong with my logg in there at my serverhost(shuld cause 0 prob though,, related to this) but if i need to create tables using phpmyadmin i really have a prob not fixable before tomorow..
But then this aint no easy install as you need php-myadminacess and knowhow.. i'm a newbie as u see :) and when using even php-fusion i newer need to use php-myadmin.. all is donne by ftp.

I'm lost on this one.. thanx for helping though :)
