User permission frustrations ...

Hi all,

How can I modify the users bit so that a user only sees Content, View Site and Logout? I've tried making a new user assigned to the Editor group and modyfied the permissions so that only a few perms are allowed but even so that user still sees things like the Layout, Extensions and My Prefs sections although they're not allowed to change anything. It would be nice if those options didn't show.

Anyway, great job guys, I'm not complaining!

IIRC 0.13 has this option

and you might want to test drive 1.0betas. there might still be time for few feature requests in the forge

Thanks for that. I'm presuming that upgrading to 0.13 should be straightforward enough? I've not modified any core files except the menu manager.

Upgrading should be painless, but please do backup your site before upgrading
