first try clearing cache.

Did you change something (or your hosting company)

I have had numerous problems with this webhost, I'm currently in Ireland ( I live in Australia) If I was home I would change hosts, this is unacceptable, some of these sites belong to businesses that are currently baying for my blood!!

I have done nothing to these sites, is it possible this problem has occurred due to meddling by my webhost??

A site has 'dissappeared' before and could be retreived for a $89 fee!

Its possible that your hosting company has upgraded servers or something similar.

did clearing cache help?

this was the webhosts supports reply;

Dear Mark

We have gone thought file managers of your account. We are confused as the file
structure seems to be complex and file naming conventions used is unusual. Have
you been trying to create web sites using any multimedia authoring tools? Are
you really need files with such long names (e.g
1baf57aea12f988f5e9a7a06dc3e6188)? What do you want index.php to do?

Awaiting for you reply.

i will try the cache thing mentioned in previous post

IIRC, I had this problem before and it was because my hosting account ran out of space.

And once a bad cache file is written, smarty doesn't recover well without clearing out the bad files.
