Strange 404 errors for news non-existant articles

Hi
My website was written using CMSMS 1.10.3 - as my knowledge of divs was not too good, I used tables....
I recently, re-wrote my website re-creating every page (using divs).
The site was created whilst the original was still online.
Once I'd duplicated every page, I re-pointed the domain.
I am getting Crawl Errors (x 105) in Googles Web Master Tools like the one below

The first site only ever had 3 news items.
The new site currently does not use the News module...
The crawl error links throw up a page with these errors on...
(actual folder path on server replaced with 'FOLDER PATH REMOVED')
I have fixed the few genuine 404's that appeared, but these have got me stumped...
Anyone seen this b4 or can suggest how to fix?
