[SOLVED] NMS & CGJobMgr issue

Hello,
I've recently setup a newsletter system for a client using the latest versions of NMS(2.5.5 which now uses the CGJobMgr(1.2.6.1) on a cms installation 1.10.3. All appeared fine in testing, but now in sending a real message I've got a few problems which I hope someone can help me resolve.
I've setup the job manager with a task running out of cron every 10 minutes as suggested.
Once I setup the mail and created a new job it started sending and all appeared fine. Looking at the progress in the NMS jobs tab it got to 14% and then appeared to stop sending out mails although I got no error messages. I left it overnight and nothing happened, no more emails were sent. There are approximately 4100 emails in the job of which around 600 went out OK.
Because nothing else had happened I tried to pause the job via the nms jobs tab. It paused OK and the status updated as being paused.
I then tried to unpause the job, using the resume button on the same nms screen. That didn't appear to work, I got a mostly empty admin screen with the newsletter made simple heading but no result at all. Could there be a bug in the admin script it's calling?
I then thought I might be able to unpause it via the job processing manager admin area. On clicking the resume button there I then got an error message saying 'Cannont unpause this job (bad or invalid status)'.
Now I'm somewhat stuck, I can't see anything obvious in the logs relating to errors and I'm not sure what I can try next to get the job started again and finish sending these emails.
Can anyone suggest a way forward with this? I can provide more details or the output of any logs if it will help. Is there a way for me to reset the paused flag manually, I can update the nms or cgjobmgr tables directly if need be?
Any advice and suggestions gratefully received!
