First: nothing's really broken, just confusion.

Since 1.11 we can cache calls to UDTs if set so in
Site Admin -> Global Settings -> Smarty Settings
Which i did. I expected one of my UDTs to misbehave (the UDT contains an sql select query that returns random results). Hence I wanted to call it with nocache. however, even the cached call returns random results, which now raises doubts whether caching UDTs is actually working.
I read the changelog in
Site Admin -> System Maintenance ->Changelog
and it says:
UDT's are never cachable.

I admit i dont really get the details of the whole caching, but - to me - it sounds like you can enable a setting that by design will never work?

There was a small typo in the preference name used in the expression to indicate whether UDT's were cachable.
