Yikes! Problem with Website after installing Products Module
Posted: Thu Jul 26, 2012 9:29 am
I installed the Products Module today. Tonight, I noticed my Home Page of my website, and no other page, is all jacked up and I see this error at the bottom.
Fatal error: Call to a member function GetPreference() on a non-object in /home/content/g/r/e/gregmadrigal/html/CMS-Sierra/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php on line 448
I noticed in my CMSModules page that I had two new mods named CGSimpleSmarty & CGExtensions. They both need a higher Minimum CMSMS Version =>v1.10. Well, technically, CGExtensions only needs v1.9.4.3, but I have to go w/the highest requirement.
I am currently using CMSMS v1.9.4. and the Products module was v2.15.1.
I have read the blog on Upgrading CMSMS. Frankly, I am afraid I will screw something up (like I just did.
) if I try and fix this w/o guidance.
Interestingly, there is no uninstall button for these two modules in the module page. Looks like I must move fwd. and upgrade.
I have downloaded and unzipped files for CMSMS v1.10.3 to a temp folder. I am going to read more on proper way to upgrade but want to hold off on doing so until I have some help. I am definitely computer literate, but kind of a newb on anything to do with websites. PLease b gentle:)
Thanks in advance!
Greg
