Yikes! Problem with Website after installing Products Module

I installed the Products Module today. Tonight, I noticed my Home Page of my website, and no other page, is all jacked up and I see this error at the bottom.

Fatal error: Call to a member function GetPreference() on a non-object in /home/content/g/r/e/gregmadrigal/html/CMS-Sierra/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php on line 448

I noticed in my CMSModules page that I had two new mods named CGSimpleSmarty & CGExtensions. They both need a higher Minimum CMSMS Version =>v1.10. Well, technically, CGExtensions only needs v1.9.4.3, but I have to go w/the highest requirement.

I am currently using CMSMS v1.9.4. and the Products module was v2.15.1.

I have read the blog on Upgrading CMSMS. Frankly, I am afraid I will screw something up (like I just did. ??? ) if I try and fix this w/o guidance.
Interestingly, there is no uninstall button for these two modules in the module page. Looks like I must move fwd. and upgrade.

I have downloaded and unzipped files for CMSMS v1.10.3 to a temp folder. I am going to read more on proper way to upgrade but want to hold off on doing so until I have some help. I am definitely computer literate, but kind of a newb on anything to do with websites. PLease b gentle:)

Thanks in advance!

Greg

Did you find (and read) this page in the CMSms documentation?

http://docs.cmsmadesimple.org/upgrading

Yes I did read that, though from the handbook in a different location than yours. http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php ... /Upgrading

I also read the release notes.

Around #5 is where I get lost. I am currently researching HOW to back up.

Thanks.

Well, I believe I am in over my head here. ??? I do not know how to backup OR upgrade and I need your help. Please be nice as I am trying to get somewhere with very few resources and obviously have more talent in woodworking than I do in maintaining the website for my woodworking.

Can Somebody please tell me:

1. How to reverse the damage I have done so I get my homepage back. I believe I need to be able to get rid of the 2 modules that are causing the problem, but neither has an uninstall button.
2. OR Tell me how I can find someone who can backup my database and then upgrade to 1.10.3 which SHOULD solve the problem (I think.)
3. How to find help trying to implement the Products module, once we are stabuilized. I need a shopping cart added to my site.

Thanks in advance.

You can remove/rename the offending modules using FTP or your servers File manager, this should get your admin/site back to normal...

I can help with upgrading but would need at least FTP but server side access is even better...
