In previous versions there was a check box which read:
In the parent page dropdown, show the page title instead of the menu text:
Has this been removed or moved to another section (I cant find it) in the OneEleven theme?

It's still here, at the same place: Site admin / Global settings / Content list settings / Display the page title or menu text

The checkbox I was talking about was found at Site Admin > Page Defaults

I'm sorry, you're right.
However, it's seems that this param is now used for the parent dropdown menu. Can you confirm?

Confirmed, In the parent page dropdown, show the page title instead of the menu text: has been removed and the settings taken from the General Settings option. Much better.
