I just want to verify some things before going to upgrade to "Hawaii" about the wiki upgrading info;

  1.  Backup your database and all the files in your CMS Made Simple folder on the server.
  2. Download the latest CMS Made Simple package.
  3. Upload the new files, overwriting all the files on your server.
  4. Navigate to /install/upgrade.php. That automatically makes any necessary changes in the database.

If I only replace the install folder would it works, because I don't see how I could keep my modified smarty templates and frontend PHP if everythhing is overwritten ?

I can't say my upgrade went really good.
I'm having nested problems, fix one, get another one.

So the one I'm having is pretty hard to digest.
I canot list the content
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/html/site/admin/listcontent.php on line 585

So did you follow the howto on doing the upgrade?

and did you clear the cache after upgrade?

The howto suggest that you overwrit all the existing files.
The problem is that we made somme modifications, to php files and tpl files.

So I Bk up everything and then install all over again, rebuilding the database and adding modified files.

Then I fixed the nuSOAP allocations problem.
Then the moduleManager

excacly how did you fix nusoap and module manager ? it may be interesting to know...

Just reallocating 16 M to the PHP limit. (was 8m, before)

Ok I started all over again I'm up and running with no errors.

I also did the upgrade.php

But I have 2 problems.
1- There's no more users
2-  All my content page are not listed (only the default)

Hi.

Can you tell me how or where I upgrade from 8m to 16m.
It seems I need to do this to run the new 1.0 beta 4 CMSMS.

mem limits are set in php.ini (in linux environment usually something like /etc/php/php.ini)

if you are on hosted environment you most probably cant change this value

Just to clarify I asked my webhosting to modify the php.ini.

Ok, now I tried to set everything back to 0.13
So i replace every files with the back-up I had.

The footer is still show version 1.0-beta3 "Hawaii"

The worst problem is that I can see tmy page structure and pages created but when trying to view the site I get no content for these pages.
The content is there in MySQL and I can edit it.

It is really a mess.

Anyone is having a clue where the link could be broke between contents and previewing the content.
