Is it possible to get coordinates from CompanyDirectory instead from CGgoogle maps chache or online lookup?
I've manage to get all companies and add them to the map, but
combination of CD and CGGM is searching online anyway, so i get
Geolocation (address to lat/long) failed.. marker error.
Is there a way to exlude online lookup?
(Cash only CGGM option reffers to google anyway).

Lookup coordinates directly from CompanyDirectory
Re: Lookup coordinates directly from CompanyDirectory
Hi, I think you need to install "Postcode" and under preferences change the Online Lookups to database only.
I'm not 100% on this in fact I'm only guessing but this may trigger something and help you figure out the issue.

Re: Lookup coordinates directly from CompanyDirectory
I've tried, but there is no difference.. It might work if there is such a option in CGgoogle maps..
In the meantime I figured out that CD or CGGmaps calculates wrong coordinates from adresses (they are not where suppose to be)...
The easiest way would be to put coordinate "manually" to each address without "help" from google.. But I haven't find any solution in that direction..

Re: Lookup coordinates directly from CompanyDirectory
Google geolocation stuff is notoriously bad for some places. I think it is a google thing, not a CGGM issue. Some "Googling" would tell you this.
CGGM has the ability to specify the address OR the lat/long for a company when adding points for a location.
The {cggm_add_dynpoint} plugin has the same capability. You can specify an address or a lat/long. If you specify an address it will try to use geolocation services to find the coordinates, and this may generate an error (the address has to be very clean, have all of the information and be in the right format).
The CompanyDirectory module has the ability to enter either an address and/or a latitude/longitude when adding a company.... There's a lookup button in the admin interface for convenience that will use the CGGM lookup capabilities, which are then subject to the same google geolocation problems.
Unless there's a technical error or deficiency in the address lookup stuff, I don't think there is much more that can be done.

In order to get through the search address results places that google lookup culdn't get (i've wrote "manually" long and lat instead of fetching them over the loojup button) and I did get those places, even marked on map.. but everything was quit slow, and something else broke down, but unfortunately i forgot what was it.
At the moment it looked like a lot of digging through the code that i hardly can "read" since im not much of a programmer (actually i'm trying to stick to the design)..
Although my country (Croatia) has poor appearance on googlemaps (lot of small towns doesn't have streets marked on GM, and in some cases towns need to have country or region as a part of address ) I've manage to find some addresses over GM that i can't get through the CD+CGGM combination, on the other hand I got some places through CD+CGGM that i can't find over GM, address in a same street (just different number) are being showed in different part of city (or even in different towns)..
But i can't find "stable connections" between different bags, and more that I'm going after solution less I understand how google lookup actually works..
To cut the story down; if in address search through module_compdir_companies db table anyone can see chance to get results independent from google, please let me know
Thanks

Re: Lookup coordinates directly from CompanyDirectory
Sorry, I just read "Hacked Installs" policy..
I had the best intentions, just to find out (or give you idea) is it possible to specify LonLat which will google just read not change..
Changes in code I've made was a month ago, after that I've made clean installation (at least two), and CD+CGGM still acts strange, beside google Geocoding anomalies..
For example;
address: Ilica 43, Zagreb is on good place in google maps but through the CD+CGGM lookup is shown 3miles on southeast, Avenija dubrovnik 16, Zagreb, similar,Varaždinska, Belovar is also on googlemaps but on my map...
LonLat is marked by the CD "Lookup coordinates"...
Google claims that Croatia is available for geocoding;

Tnx
