cache browser problem with stylesheets

Hi, I'm running 1.10.3 and I'm facing a strange problem:
sometimes the site's pages load without the stylesheets and clearing the browser's cache fixes the issue.
This has happened on different pc, with Firefox and IE.
In cmsms's admin panel I had checked "Allow Browser to Cache Pages".
Now I unchecked this option and I'm monitoring the site (but I'm not sure the issue depends on it).
Had anybody else the same problem?
