This website makes extensive use of the excellent Cataloger module, which allows the creation of "categories" (in my case here, developments/areas) and "items" (in my case, houses).

Each of the developments/areas also has it's own controllable colour scheme, possible thanks to some clever smarty logic and extra utils. On each development, amongst other things, the user is allowed to set a "Home of the Week", upload photos for viewing in an interactive gallery, and control the various statuses of the houses themselves, such as price and availability.

A standard website gallery is also included, using the Gallery module.

The only thing that was beyond the system for my needs here, was the Search functionality, which is custom PHP, not part of CMSMS.

I'd be very interested to learn more about this. Did you write the code yourself? Would you consider sharing the code or explaining your method? All of the product/catalog modules available for CMSMS lack an advanced search function, and there are many users wanting to use such a search. It would be great if we could learn from your experience.

I did not write the Search code myself, no. But if people are interested, I may be able to have the developer make a post on here and give a brief explanation of how he went about it.

And judging by the responses to my question about advanced searching in the Products module I'm sure there are others who would be interested to see how an advanced search can be used with the similar Cataloger module.
