Hi,

Is there any solution out there to managing stock levels using Calguys E-commerce modules? These modules are brilliant and very flexible but the only part that seems to be missing is a way of managing stock.

I am currently setting up a site where we will have once off products and a set number them so I will need some way of managing the stock and displaying how many are left on the front end.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

I was thinking of trying to set up a roundabout method of inventory management by using the orders module and a custom field in the products module.

I can set up a custom field in the products module called stock which would be the total amount of stock. The next part is to pull back the total number of invoices with a status of paid for each product. If I could do that I could simply put the custom field stock - total invoices on the front end which would give me the total number of products left. Does this sound viable? I know it wouldn't be the best solution but I need some way of managing stock.

Does anyone know how to pull back the number of invoices for each product. Could I set up an invoice template in orders to just output a number based on matching the description field in orders with the title field in products?
