Hello, I just upgraded from 1.9.4.3 to 1.10.2 and everything was fine. I upgraded all the modules before upgrading to 1.10.2 but there was one that I could not upgrade (showtime) so I uninstalled it and proceeded to upgrading to 1.10.2 - everything worked well, except that once on 1.10.2, I tried to reintall showtime again, and then I tried to upgrade, and I got the following fatal error, but now I can't even access the admin or the site. Please help.

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Showtime::checkTinyMCE_mapi_pref() in /home/artelye/public_html/modules/Showtime/method.upgrade.php on line 54
The site is www.artelye.com

ftp to your site and go to modules folder: rename showtime folder to _showtime. That might do it.

Hi Jo, I did that and the site seems to work and all. But the module is now gone... how can I get back? reinstall it? I guess this renaming is just to bypass the error correct?

Thanks for your help

Correct!
I'm not sure why showtime is giving that error. But it seems that there might be a corrupt file in the upgrade. That would be my guess. So try to upload again all the files to the original showtime folder. If I'm right it should be possible to upgrade from there.

Gracias amigo, de donde eres?

I will check to make sure I can reupload and reinstall the files. Thanks for your help!

I tried to reinstall the module by going to Module Manager, but I got the same error again, so I deleted the folder. Is there any other way to install it? I'm not sure how to download the files to do it via FTP. Thank you

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Showtime::checkTinyMCE_mapi_pref() in /home/artelye/public_html/modules/Showtime/method.upgrade.php on line 54

If you have access through ftp to your site (has it seems) just download the compressed file, extract to a temp folder on your PC, and upload the entire showtime folder to the modules folder of your site. Make sure you keep the file structure. Then you should be able to upgrade from the admin side of your site.

I did exactly this, but I get the same exact error and it doesn't even let me go into the admin. As soon as uploaded all the uncompressed files (and structure) via FTP to the modules/showtime, I tried going to the website but I get the same error again :-(

Any other suggestions....? really weird... thank you for your help

OK! I went to the forge and apparently you are not the only one having that problem: [#7115] after upgrade 1.9.3.4 to 1.10.1.
Not sure but it does indeed seem like a bug, as reported.

IF (and that is a big IF) you have nothing to lose: just uninstall and reinstall it (note: this is not an upgrade - It will delete all tables/data showtime already uses).

Alternative: Do a backup (export) of your Database, uninstall, reinstall, import your Database from the backup. At least you won't lose your data.
(NO matter what you do: ALWAYS backup your site!!!!)
It seems to me that the bug is only on upgrading, but I'm not sure. I have it installed and working, but if memory serves me right I did a full install of the latest version. That's probably why I didn't have a problem with Showtime.
I honestly hope that helps, since I running out of suggestions... :-[

Thank you for your help in taking the time to provide me with suggestions, but this did not work. It is not even giving me the option to uninstall, only "Upgrade", and when I do, I get the error!

Thank you once again for your time. I will just wait to see if the bug is fixed or figure something else out. Thanks again

If you still have the version you had previously installed just upload it (as you did with the current version). Or you can download it directly from the Forge . It should give you the option to uninstall it!
Then, if you want ;) , you could complete the rest of the steps.
