How many users connected

Hi,
I'm thinking of building a module to track customer contacts with all that comes with it. Without being it called a Customer Relation Management (CRM) system, I have in my mind a lot of the functionality (or can grow to it).
My question is there a group that will/can make use of such a module. That's why I want to have some figures on this. First is how many users (a user being defined as one that is capable of using the back end) do the websites you have/implement/manage on average set up.
