Creating a Document Library

Hi,

I'm not sure what the best way to do this is via CMS Made Simple. I've looked through the modules but couldn't find anything that (I thought) would do the job.

I need to set up a document library for a site, whereby the editor/publisher of the site is able to log in and upload documents such as PDFs and Word documents, with descriptions. The latest, say 5, uploads also need to be displayed in a sidebar on the main page.

If anyone has any ideas as to how I can achieve this, please let me know!

P.S. Loving the CMS so far. I've tried all the big guns (Joomla, Drupal etc) and in all honestly, this is the only CMS that has saved me from wanting to rip all the hairs out of my head!

The Uploads module will do exactly this.  Infact that's kinda what we use it for on the themese site.

Awesome. I have installed the uploads module but can't work out how to set it up for someone who's administering the site through
www.site/admin

Any help would be appreciated

Well, the person should have the Manage Uploads permission, and then they'll be able to create categories, upload files, and manage the uploaded files.  You should (assuming you're running CMS 0.13) find the admin interface for the uploads module under Extensions >> Uploads
