Checksum: This resource is a directory

Newbie here, just installing 1.10.2, have copied all files, changed dir permissions and now trying to run the checksum file..
cmsmadesimple-1.10.2-checksums.dat
All i get is the following warnings, and if i try to ignore them the install falls over.
/sites/alder5/htdocs/ This resource is a directory
Sorry just dont understand what im doing, can anyone help?
