MenuManager question or help?

I don't know if this is the correct forum, if not please move this or I will.
I am testing a couple sites out on IOS devices and horizontal drop menus using hover (using only css) don't work, the sub menus don't allow you to reach anything. The only work around I can see is to make the section header an internal link of the first page of that area and then show a menu starting at level 2 on that page.
However, when you are in Google, that "more" menu is a click menu and that would work SO MUCH better on IOS devices.
So, my question is: has anyone built a menu with menumanager that is onclick to show the submenus? Since my menu uses no js, it's only CSS, I don't know where to begin.
