[solved] Unable to access admin or pages after moving site

First question - I posted this question yesterday under user "Autohaus" only to receive a message today that the user was permanently blocked - with no explanation - and suggest contact administrator - but link was a "no-reply" - can anyone please enlighten me?

I have searched the boards and can not find an answer.

New to CMS but a programmer.

Migrated a CMCMS web site from one domain to another by 1)copying all files in directory 2)backing up database and recreating on new server with same information, user and permissions. 3)changing config.php to reflect new paths etc.

Home page loads correctly but no other page can be found with 404 error. Accessing /admin/ somehow switches to original site but I can not find any reference to other site in any file!

Pulling my hair out here. Must be something to do with paths but can not find any references other than in the /tmp/trmplate_c directory, which have all been changed to correct paths.

for info original working install is http://www.autohausvw.co.uk
address where copied to is http://www.coastguardcottage.net
which is temp holding until dns changed.

original server path is /home/autohaus/html/xxxxx
my new server path is /home/Autohaus/xxxxx

Odd admin is http://www.coastguardcottage.net/admin

Anyone with a clue please?

Many thanks John Richards UK and Cz

Half issues solved and please ignore last post details. Issue now is simply that after copying install to a new server, setting DNS correctly, the whole site is now working EXCEPT admin access.

All users and coded passwords are stored in the database and the
CMS has full database access BUT I can not get ANY of the users/passwords to work with the admin page.

Please, is there anyway of clearing passwords or forcing a log in to the admin? I guess it is something to do with stored passwords.
I have even re-imported existing database to try but still unable to log in or create new users.

Any clues? All the posts I can find are to do with upgrades, not moving installation.

Solved with re-run of database
