question/issue with Calguys Content Utilities

Running into an issue with this module, probably something that's easy to figure out. We have a few sections that we need to export, and then re-import for multi-language capabilities. The templates have a main content area, and three unique side areas for content. We added those three new areas using {name of section} tags, and that worked great. Site is now over 20 pages, and worked as it should.
BUT, when we use the Calguys Content Utilities module to export/import the content, it only imports in the main {content} area. The new side areas all appear blank on the Admin page. I see reference to those sections in the exported XML, but CMSMS isn't reading them back into the Pages section.
I did notice that the original "Content" tag has a * in the Admin page. Could that have something to do with it? Will the utility only export/import required content?
We're using CMSMS 1.9.4. No other technical issues, all has been working fine.
We're now forced to copy each page one at a time (times 4 languages), but would rather have an automated solution. Any help is appreciated.
