The hosting company moved a cmsms 1.8.1 site to a new server. Now, I'm having problems editing the page content. I can open a page and do edits to the content, but it won't let me save the page. I get an internal server error 500. This only seems to be happening on page edit function.

The php version on this server is 5.3.8

Can anyone answer this question, please?

CMSMS 1.8.1 is no longer supported. and, there is no information as to the actual error.

You will need to restore this site to a known working condition (I know it's a pita).. and then upgrade before you can move on.

This is the error.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I don't have any further additional information other than the difference between the old server and the new one is the version of php and now uses sftp.

What version of php is used by cmsms 1.8.1?
Does it only work in an early version?

Some clue where to at least look would be helpful (besides upgrading the entire cmsms installation which from my past experience will cause even more problems with all the installed extensions).

Other people have had this same problem so someone must have an idea as to what the problem is.

The hosting company moved the site without consulting anyone on the move and the requirements of cmsms, so I'm stuck.

Core after 1.7 supports servers running php higher than 5.2.4 and also 5.3.+ so that should not be the really problem for you.
Else i have no clue what error you really have.
