How do I make one specific template always the default one?

I have upgraded a site to the latest version of cmsms.

There are four templates available for use on the site but I want a speicific one of those four to be the one that always appears when you create a new page (as 90% of the content is built using it).

The home page uses a different template to the one used for regular articles, but it's the one that appears every time.

It's very fruastrating because with this latest version of cmsms, there is a delay of a couple of seconds everytime I select a different template, while the whole thing reloads. it's not a problem for the odd page or two, but we're currently creating lots of pages and this is using up a lot of time.

Any fix for this?

if you goto Layout » Templates the second column over says Default with a bunch of X find the one you want for Default and clik the X
