horizontal scrolling news

Hi,
I like to show news in a horizontal scrolling line like CNN.
With marquee there is a blanc line after the news before it starts again.
With java I don't have this problem, but then the tag {news number='3' detailpage='news'} won't work because for java I need the {literal}{/literal} solution. I tried to find a java where the text is an external file, but could not find this.
Does anyone has a solution for this problem?
