Artist site with CMSM?

How difficult would it be to use cmsms to make a site where members (FEUs) could each upload pictures, create and personalize a gallery?
I'm thinking of a site for local artists to showcase their work. perhaps under their own subdomain.
Each memeber would only be able to edit their own area and link to/ display only their own pictures.
