Lost Albums after upgrading to 1.9

Hello,

I made a fatal error and I'm hoping to get some direction on how I can resolve the issue.

Previously I was at 1.5ver and went forward with an upgrade to 1.9.

After the upgrade I found the album module was not displaying correctly. I went through and made sure all the modules were updated. The problem persisted so I removed the album module and then installed the album module. At this point I noticed my albums are no longer listed in the album module interface.

I still have the correct code in the pages:
{cms_module module='album' albums='189'}

This is what my page displays:

There are no pictures in this album.Error: The template named "" that this Album is set to use does not exist. Please go to the Album Admin Panel and assign a different template to this Album.

At this point I'm hopeful there is a quick way to bring the albums previously created back into the album module. Can anyone advise me on this?

I do have a backup of the site with a database backup as well.

The site in question is here: http://www.redoubtrealty.com

Thank you for your input.

Tim

If you have existing DB Backup try with that. When module is uninstalled all data in Database is deleted, means every Album that you created was deleted from database, therefor your new install Album doesn't know anything about old Albums.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I have to restore the site as now the owner is reporting issues with search, and the layout of the pages on the management end...I'll need to figure out the right upgrade path for this site.

Should I be able to upgrade from a 1.5 version to current stable?

Thanks,
Tim

Thanks for the tip. I restored the backup to a new db and modified the config.php - I can now see the albums once again. Still having problems as the albums are not displayed correctly.

Any idea on this would be greatly appreciated.

Link to your site does not work.

Depending on what is wrong with albums, you may need to go in and manually tweak albums and pictures listed inside.

I have done this before for an upgrade.

Can you describe what "not displayed correctly" means? I can see Albums working here http://www.redoubtrealty.com/index.php?page=11-8190 so i wonder did you fix it or should these look different?
