[Solved] Can I move a checkbox to a different tab in admin?

I'm busy converting an old customer's site from static html to a cmsms based site. (I'm fed up with doing page changes for them and want them to be able to update the site themselves ;-)

In the admin site, as I copy and paste content from the old site into the new pages using Content » Pages » Add New Content I continually have to click from the 'Main' tab to the 'Options' tab to add the page specific metadata.

Is there any easy way to move that form field from under the 'Options' tab to the 'Main' tab?

I'd also like to move the 'Show in menu' check box to the 'Main' tab too since until a page is proof read by the site owner I don't want it added to the site's menu.

Thank you,

You might want to check Site Admin » Global Settings tab: 'Content Editing Settings' field: Basic Properties
This field allows you to specify which content properties that users without the "Manage All Content" permission are allowed to edit
The properties will move to the main tab ;)

Many thanks! Yes, that worked. :) ;D

Basic Properties is a very confusing field though, why on earth aren't those options check boxes rather than a multiple list, it took me quite a while to realise that to select more than one option required a ctrl+mouse click to select the second one.

Finally, I am 'admin' for this site and have all permissions yet the text says:

This field allows you to specify which content properties that users without the "Manage All Content" permission are allowed to edit

So why did it change 'my' editing options?

The permission statement means that it pushes the selected to the main-tab. SO that goes for all persons. Thing is that the options tab is driven by another permission, you as an admin will see both tabs, but will see the selected on main-tab as well. Others, without manage-all-content, will only see the main-tab, but with the selected properties on that page as well.
