1) You can set up a redirect from the new domain name to the old one. Once the address redirects, users will see the old URL in the address bar of their browser.
2) Google will not like if you will try to have two domain names with the same content.
3) With Google's blessing, it is easy to redirect the old website to the new domain name, with 301 for example.
