hierarchy/categories pages Template Mash-Up

I see this has had some other attention but nothing i could find that was recent. Im using CMSMS 1.9.4. and trying to set up an online shop. Im a relative newbie and learned everything i know from google...so please be gentle.
In my tempate I have
{Products action="hierarchy"}
{Products action="categoryslist"}
{menu} (the menu is set up to so that some pages are restricted)
Some of my other menu items include "about" and "contact" which use a differnt template.
The Problem When I navagate first to either the Contact or About page and then back to a categorie or hierarchy page the template does not refresh itself. Content items from the contact and about page show up on the Hierarchy and category pages.
Im hoping for an easy solution...
