All the functionality below the tabs on the NMS admin page does not show. (screenshot)
Could this have something todo that CGExtensions was upgraded by somebody (I developed the website and I'm fairly sure at that time CGExtensions was still on 1.9.1)?

What is the best way to go? Try to upgrade the core and modules?

(The same issue has happened to SitemapMadeSimple)

CMSMS 1.7.1
CGExtensions 1.2.0
CMSMailer 2.0
NMS 2.3.2

Most modules may require the latest CMSMS, if you can run 1.7.1 you can run 1.9.4.1, BTW we only support the last 2 versions...

Is it possible to directly upgrade 1.7.1 to the latest stable release?

I did an upgrade from 1.7.1 > 1.8 > 1.9.4
No problems, just had to upgrade CGExtensions also. NMS now works ok again.
