CMS Made Simple Forums

Ok, so after a smooth install on a linux server using cpanel I go to create a new page, which it does as I see it in the database, it does not display the page or menu tab, I'm sure this is a file permissions issue as I've run cmsms on a windows localhost without any issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
