How robust is CMSMS?

Hi everyone:
I've been using cmsms for clients since v1.0 and the last one i've used was 1.8.2. To say I love it, is an understatement. With each version it gets more flexible and easier to use even if sometime module do not always keep up.
I'm hoping to promote cmsms with a new client whose leaning toward Joomla (I can't figure this software out). Their needs are very complex, so I need to know if cmsms can handle thousands of users signed on at once? Here's what's needed:
can anyone on the dev team tell me if this is feasable?

I'm hoping to promote cmsms with a new client whose leaning toward Joomla (I can't figure this software out). Their needs are very complex, so I need to know if cmsms can handle thousands of users signed on at once? Here's what's needed:
- Able to create Front end registration for thousands of teachers
- able to auto assign teachers to client groups (school districts) by grouping based on email address (all members of a given school district have the same domain email address)
- • allow an individual to belong to several groups
- • sell both physical and digital products with payment via Paypal
- • manage download link for security
- • have products purchased by the groups/school district to be available in group member account for download
- • have product purchased by individual show up in their account
- • if purchasing a course, have the course and date show up in a calendar in their account - maybe an automated email can be generated 24hrs prior to course that shows the link to the course (they are using Moodle so some integration required)
- • Have search function search the cmsms website and an external database content depository based on tagged information: keywords and phrases
- Have the display of search result appear like this site http://www.learnalberta.ca/Search.aspx? ... al+Studies
- • have search result determine if user is logged in and show if
- • the resource is free
- • has been purchased by their group is available to them - show an open padlock
- • can be purchased - show a closed padlock with buy button
can anyone on the dev team tell me if this is feasable?
