Hi. Sometime ago I made a cms made simple web site with version 1.2.4.

Now my client told me that they had a problem with the hosting company and moved the domain to a new hosting company.

I could get all the files and directories from the old hosting and also I could get a database backup.

Please can you tell me how can get that web work in the new hosting?

Should I install a 1.2.4 version first and then upgrade to the last version?

Any help is really welcome.

Copy all the files over, edit the config.php to replace URL and path hard-codes, and database login credentials.

OK. More or less everything seems to be working right.

Is it posibble to upgrade from version 1.2.4 to the current version 1.9.4.1?

If so, are there any major changes that I have to take into account?

Thanks a lot.

Great article on an adventure in upgrading from version 0.12 to 1.9.4.1

I would do it on the side.. Don't do this to a live site :)
