[Solved]Changing name of admin directory issue with upgrade

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved]Changing name of admin directory issue with upgrade

Post by jasnick »

I changed the name of the admin directory ( $config ['admin_dir']="newname") but forgot when I upgraded to the newest edition of CMSMS. I think I was supposed to change it back before I upgraded.

I now have 2 'admin' directories on a site - 'admin' and 'newname'.

Is it safe to delete one? The one with the 'newname' would actually be the outdated one and the 'admin' must be the new one ???

Delete "newname" and rename "admin" to "newname" if you didnt change admin directory settings in config.php

That's what I thought, uniqu3, but needed it confirmed as I have only just started using CMCMS.

Thanks for the reply !
