Very nice graphics. Sorry that I don't speak Icelandic.
Maybe you are able to translate the word 'page' and 'of' at the bottom of the list of news articles. I think it is in the template it self.

Nicely done. I really the graphics and simply layout. Keeps it really clean. Good work!

I think its better if you remove the background images. But I am unsure it looks awesome either way.
