I recently took over the responsibility of updating the website for a customer.

Everything had been going smoothly for a while, and then I did some research and found that they are running quite an old version of CMSMadeSimple, they are running 1.0.5.

I attempted to upgrade, but did not have success, I am in the process of setting up another box to test the upgrade on.

Anyways, I restored the site back to how it was, and everything was back to normal, I went to make some page changes and the pages update, but the Global Content Blocks do not update.

I have checked the mysql databse and the new informatio is in there, but when you view the site, it still has the old information.

I am not sure how this happening becuase I thought everything was database driven.

Any assistance or insite would be greatly appreciated.

Assistance on 1.0.5 is not applicable... That is so old, that we dont remember what could cause it....

Only current and last version are supported....

Could you describe what issue you had upgrading, and what PHP version you are running....

You might have to upgrade in baby-steps.. 1.0.5 to 1.2.. 1.2 to 1.4, etc., verifying each one along the way. The largest jump I ever did was 1.6.6 to 1.9.1

xroads I had this issue with my site when I took over. My biggest issue is what RonnyK is asking for. My php was v3 and I needed it upgraded to v5.x I contacted my hosting provider (godaddy) and they upgraded me in a few minutes. Site was updated perfectly. Maybe this might help.

I am attempting to go to 1.6.9. That is the last supported php4 version.

When I run through the upgrade it has some changes I need to make to my php.ini file. I make those changes and it does not seem to apply them.

It still gives me the same error, I have tried rebooting the server and still no go.

I am on CMSMS 1.9.4.1, PHP Version 5.2.17 and MySQL 5.1.56 and my Global Content Blocks are still not updating.

Any thoughts on how to go about troubleshooting would be great.

I was wondering if anybody had any updates to this post. I am not sure where it could be pulling the old info from. Is there some sort of cache I need to clear out?

I deleted all the directories in the site directory and then copied the ones from the CMS1.9.4.1. I restored folders individually to ensure that I did not get any legacy stuff and that fixed this issue.
