I think that the page is added to the database. But you might have issues with the TimeZone that you have set in the config.php. Not setting that, might cause the listcontent page NOT to refresh directly...
Check if GlobalSettings->Advanced->ClearCache, makes the pages appear.
If that works, then set the correct TimeZone in the config.php and check again...

I ran into this problem as well once and Ronnie's suggestion was the same fix I used.

From version 1.9.4.2 same thing is happening to me. Time zone is correct. I tried without timezone and nothing changes. When I hit Clear Cache button new pages appear.
