My first CMSMS site up and running. (www.filmklippere.com - Norwegian site for film editors)
It is a succsess so far. Thank you cmsms developers!

I have little experience as a webmaster and the site will need adjustments, corrections and development. What is the best way of doing this without upsetting the site too much for present and oncoming visitors?

If I want to try out a new layout, different styling or some new features - how to experiment without affecting the running site before I am ready to launch?

When do you use " Global Settings/Website Down" - what kind of work ususually done when this is activated?  ...its closed for admin working/looking on/at pages too.

I will be happy for any experience you would like to share!

that page is mostly for when you are updrading the whole site and really need to be off line other wise no need.
if you want to experiment, you can always make a new page and set it to not show in menu but leave it active, second tab on add content edit page, you can make new Templates, CSS, add new modules, and until you apply them to an active page they will not affect your website, but you will be able to see the changes by looking at the Content>Pages at the far right there is a magnifying glass clik that and you will see the page, when and if you want to show that page just set it to show in menu, modules can be used on that page to tweek the look and layout etc. when you get it than you can add module and style sheet to existing page or new page...
