I am trying to make my first site using CMS Made Simple.

WWWOOOUUUUWWWWW What a great CMS

(I simply dont understand why this piece of fine work is free - Well I guess you just love to program PHP)

But a simple question: Are there any modules or plugins for generating mailinglist?

Not that I'm aware of. Might be able to convice someone to make one up.
