Album module errors

I have used the album module many times with no problems and today I am at the end of my rope. I keep this error message but can't find any help. The error says;
A query failed. Trying going to the "Options" tab and clicking the "Run Upgrade Script" link. If that does not fix the problem, then please file a bug.
When I click the link to run upgrade script I get logged out of the admin.
cms version 1.9.3
album version 0.9.3
This is the second time I have started from scratch just to get the album working. I have cleared the cache numerous times as suggested in another post. Actually I followed that post to the T! Can someone please help me with this.

I just finished working on a site that uses Album and had no problems, so I installed it on a clean 1.9.3 site no problems...
Can you explain step by step what you did to get an error and exactly what the error is, how you installed Album, what your server is running, PHP wise etc...

Ok thankyou. I did a brand new install of the latest version cms 1.9.3 and went to my module manager to install the album which is 0.9.3 then I opened the album link under the content tab to start building my albums like I've done before and that's where the error is before doing anything. 2 pink highlighted lines saying
A query failed. Trying going to the "Options" tab and clicking the "Run Upgrade Script" link. If that does not fix the problem, then please file a bug.
I found a previous post saying exactly the same thing

I did everything mentioned in this post including starting from scratch with a new database and clean install of the cms version with no luck.
I am checking the host server info and php right now to give you more info on that...
PHP version 5.1.25

What is your MySQL version? There are problems reported with installing modules on MySQL 5.1 or higher.

Oh, yes it is 5.1.25
Is that problems just with the cms version 1.9.3 and that version of the Album together? I have just worked on another site that uses the MYSQL version 5.1.25 with no problems

I don't know exactly... I have heard somewhere that this will be fixed in cmsms version 1.9.4 , but could have misunderstood that.

Is there such a thing as downgrading? So instead of waiting for version 1.9.4 can I go back to 1.9.2?

I have a feeling it is something other than the Album module...
How did you install it, do you have any yellow ! or red X in your system info page?...
