TinyMCe 1.8.3 Image picker Not working

I have done 3 fresh installations of CMSMS 1.9.3 trying to manage the image picker with tinyMCE 1.8.3
* I am used to modify config.php so I can pick up pictures in the upload directory instead of uploads/images. But tinyMCE doesn't take into account the change and keep showing up the folder uploads/images.
* In tinyMCE 'Profiles' I also ticked 'Show filemanagement options' but it doesn't show up either.
I uninstalled TinyMCE 1.8.3 and installed a later version, TinyMCE 1.7.3 and it is now working fine!
Anyone has the same problem?
