This new version is in the dev.
It is able to work with guestbook 1.0.2 but at this time guestbook 1.0.2 is only in the svn.
Pisearch is working now with content, news and this guestbook.

Pisearch works
1. in the content
2. in the news
3. in guestbook
in this order.
i have no problems on 4 different servers and 0.13 with searching it all works.
the search routine is for all the same only the sql is different because we have different tables.
it seems as your install is not complete or you have set wrong parameters.

The CMs is checking the module folder by itself and if there is the module complete it must be shown.

Please check your downloaded file once again - there are 2 (!) Pisearch projects (the first as tag and the second as module)!

http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/modpisearch/
Only the module version is discussed in this thread.

thanks for replying pirato and cyberman, but I did download and unzipped the "module" not the "tag", put it in the modules directory, but it doesn't show up on the admin/modules page; well let me try again, maybe I did something wrong. I really like the cmsmadesimple of all the others, even though webaker looks very promising, but I din't like their page layout and din't know how to adjust it. Search function on a portal is really crucial, as I said before, it is not a luxury especially when you have tens of thousands of documents. peace.

Here are some examples of other themes you can download it (
http://themes.cmsmadesimple.org/Full_Themes.html ) and i hope you can understand how you can make your own design.
