Products upload/modify by FEU

Hi there!

I have a project where FrontEnd users has to have the ability to upload/modify products. I am searching a good starting point to achieve this.

The CGBlog has this ability, but only with flat hierarchical system. The Products module has a good category/hierarchy system, what I need, but no FEU upload/modify possibility.

Is somebody developed such a thing?

If not, which would be the more appropriate approach? Use CGBlog module and implement within this module the product's cathegory/hierarchy system, or use the Product module and implement a FEU upload/edit/myproducts feature?

Thx,
Trastevere

I can second this request. I am trying to put together a membership listing and can't decide between cgblog, or products, or just using listit (for simplicity).

I took a look at cataloger, but don't like the way inputing new content works on that.

Products would be a perfect solution (even though i'm not selling anything), but the ability to have members be able to update their listings would be amazing.

I would use cgblog, but in one instance I need that multiple hierarchy to allow people to drill down to the correct category (organizing things by state, county, city).

Here is one fine module whitch have forntend editing: Company Directory. You will have category, owner filds , logos, name, etc.

Maybe try this.

Thanks Marek, I actually just found out about that module myself recently. I ended up using CG User Directory, and it is working quite well (minus a few glitches). This way all of the data I want displayed is part of the FEU account, and when the user changes their account, the User Directory changes as well.

I really like Company Directory for some other projects though. I noticed it has full multi-level hierarchy, which would be great for drilling down states/counties/cities/businesses and such.

I have read mixed reviews as to how easy it is to allow a FEU to edit a company directory entry. I see that there is a dropdown that allows you to associate an company with an FEU, but when I try to log on and edit, all I get is 'create an entry', and no list of associated companies.
