Hi There,

Please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place.

I am trying to help a friend who has CMSCS installed. They are using News 2.3.0.2 and have 2 issues that are causing problems.

1. When they go to add a news item the dates in the selection boxes do not extend past 2010 - therefore they cannot add a correct date to new news items.
2. They would like to put the date format into Day/Month/Year and are unsure how to achieve this. In have tried to change this by replacing {$entry->formatpostdate} to {$entry->%d/%b/%Y} in the news templates but this has made no difference (could it be cached?)

It does not look like the news module can be uninstalled or upgraded?

You are running an ancient version of CMSMS. In later versions the start/end year are dynamically set.

Upgrading is advised, as old versions are no longer supported.

Is there a straightforward upgrade path? I am investigating this on behalf of someone else and it's likely I will be asked to do it for them........ Unless of course you offer a commercial service?
